Brittany Murphy was raised in Atlanta, Georgia and her parents were divorced when she was very young. She moved to New Jersey at a young age when Brittany Murphy was nine, she started acting in local theater productions. At the age of 12 Brittany Murphy persuaded her mom to get her a manager and began doing commercials. Brittany Murphy then landed her first TV rolein the comedy Blossom in 1991. After blossom Brittany's first movie role was Clueless. In the comedy Brittany Murphy played Cher's (Alicia Silverstone's) best friend. To her dissapointment, Brittany did not get the role for the TV show version and her character was not recast.
Brittany Murphy has also been in a lot of other films in the last few years, due to her work in Mike Judge's King of the Hill which has gotten her the most consecutive work and attention. In 2004, she was engaged to the manager Jeff Kwatinetz. But he broke off their engagement because he was still in love with his ex. Brittany Murphy was no. 8 on Maxim Magazine "Hot 100" for 2005. |
