Christy Canyon (a.k.a Tara Wine, Sarah White) was born in Los Angeles, California, and is a Hall of Fame Porn Star. She was not natural actress as is evident by viewing her early work. Nonetheless she grew more comfortable delivering dialogue in front of the camera. She started in the industry about the same time as Traci Lords, and Christy Canyon and Traci almost immediately challenged reigning porn queen Ginger Lynn Allen for the top position in the business. Traci was gone by 1987 having left the industry since it was discovered she was underage when she made most of her films.

She has been of and on the screen many times in the past 15 years. In the films she appears in nowadays are guaranteed to be "cash cows" by virtue of her being in them.
