Liv Tyler was born in Portland, Maine. She got her name because her mother, Bebe Buell, saw Liv Ullmann on the cover of a TV Guide the week Liv was born. She is the daughter of Steven Tyler, the famous singer of the rock band Aerosmith. Although her birth certificate stated that Rundgren was her real father, 10-year-old Liv became suspicious after meeting Steven Tyler at a Rundgren concert. Liv confronted her mother who told her that Steven Tyler was her real father. Liv Tyler was the product of an 8-month relationship between Steven and Bebe.
At 14, Liv moved to New York to begin a modeling career but decided after a year to become an actress. Liv Tyler co-starred with actress Alicia Silverstone in Aerosmith's music video Crazy. In 1996, Liv landed the lead role in Bernardo Bertolucci's exquisite film about a teen in search of finding her father and losing her virginity, Stealing Beauty. In 1997, Liv Tyler was chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World. Liv starred as Bruce Willis' daughter in the 1998 hit, Armageddon, which opened on her birthday. She also hade a role in the mega-box-office hit Lord of the Rings - Trilogy as Arwen Undomiel.
Liv Tyler married Royston Langdon, a former Spacehog frontman-bassist, on March 25, 2003. In 14 December, 2004 the couple recieved a son, Milo William Langdon. |
