Pamela Anderson was the first baby to be born on Canada's 100th birthday. Her nickname in high school was "Rubber Band" due to her flexibility. She graduated from Highland Secondary School in 1985. Playmate Pamela Anderson married Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee after only dating for four days. They got married on the beach in Cancun and proved their love by getting tattoos of each other's names, instead of exchanging wedding rings. Pamela made her divorce from Tommy Lee even more official by dropping "Lee" from her name in June 2000. And in April 2001, she dated Kid Rock. In 2000, Pamela was diagnosed with hepatitis C. She claims that she contracted the potentially fatal disease by having shared a tattoo needle with her ex-husband Tommy Lee. Actress Pamela Anderson is the voice of the main character in the animated series Stripperella,. It is a stripper/superhero character created by Stan Lee of Marvel Comics. In 2005, she signed a contract to become the face of M.A.C. make-up, and she acted as a spokesperson for the company's Aids fund-raising. The same year, she was voted "the Canadian with the sexiest hair" by stylists throughout the country. Pamela narrated a 5-minute film, produced by the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), that documents the mistreatment of chickens in KFC. In 2004, Pamela released her first novel Star and in 2005, she released the follow up Star Struck. The books containes a tale of Miss Star Wood Leigh, a cosmetologist, who is descovered at a football game (just like Pam) by a marketing exec from Zax beer. |
